If you want to get away from the crowds, experience local life and get a real “edge of the world” feeling, this is the tour for you.

This incredible 5 day tour will take you to the Inner and Outer Hebrides: wild, rugged landscapes and yet a place of tranquillity and calm. You will spend time exploring three of these islands off the west coast of Scotland. Here you will discover ancient history, a strong Gaelic culture, breathtaking scenery, unbeatable fresh seafood, crystal clear waters, golden sands and welcoming local people. Explore these stunning areas with us, and we guarantee that you will discover a Scotland that most people can only dream of.

As you leave Edinburgh behind, you can also leave behind your worries and cares. This tour will make sure you return rested, relaxed and satisfied that you have seen the real Scotland. This tour is ideal for people who really want to get the most from their time in Scotland.

You will explore the mountains, glens and rivers of the mainland, before heading to the Isle of Skye for your first taste of island life. Here you will explore some of the finest scenery in the world: the Cuillin mountains, The Quiraing, breathtaking cliff lines and views that you will treasure forever. Not only will your guide bring to life some of the history and culture of the area, but you will also hear of a land that is steeped in myth and legend. Stories abound of giants, mythical warriors and faerie folk.

After two nights on Skye, you will take the beautiful ferry crossing to Harris, in the Outer Hebrides. From the ferry, if you are lucky, you can spot dolphins, seals and even basking sharks. You will discover the harsh beauty of Harris, with it’s ancient mountains, winding roads and pristine beaches. Then you will head north into the flatter and larger Isle of Lewis, for your 2 night stay.

In Lewis and Harris, you will find out more about the traditional way of life, the Gaelic language and culture and the weaving of the famous Harris Tweed. You will visit ancient historical monuments, such as the Pictish Carloway Broch and Neolithic Callanish Standing Stones. You will also make a stop at the Butt of Lewis, one of the windiest places in the UK. As if that was not enough, you will also have the chance to sample some of the finest seafood in the world!

The last day of your tour will take you on another stunning ferry crossing to Ullapool. You will spend this day meandering through the Highlands, back into the Lowlands and returning to Edinburgh. You will cross the Moray Firth, find out about the last stand of the Jacobites at the Battle of Culloden and take in the Cairngorm National Park.

Once you return to Edinburgh, you will have discovered the Scotland of your dreams.
