I truly had the best holiday of my life. Scotland was more beautiful and magical than I expected but what made my holiday so outstanding was Dave. he is a walking encyclopedia, amusing and perhaps one of the most intelligent people I've had the good fortune to meet.

My 5 day tour with Scottish Routes was sensational! I had my very own personal tour of Lewis, Harris, Skye and more - full of amazing scenery, beautiful weather, incredible walks in the wind and 'liquid sunshine', and loads of stories - both history and folk tales. I will definitely be calling on Scottish Routes when I next come to Scotland - and I would recommend Scottish Routes to everyone!

Thank you for planning such an unforgettable holiday for Lax and me. Scotland is sheer magic - what I call, The Other World. It unveiled itself slowly with every passing day, leaving us enchanted and bereft of words many a time. We were never quite prepared as to what to expect every morning. And you were right about David. He was simply the best guide and company we could have got. Charming, always cheerful, highly knowledgeable, a storehouse of information and full of enchanting anecdotes of every place we visited. He can hold a conversation on any topic – world affairs, politics, sports, you name it – never a dull moment with Dave.
Thank you once again and do give our warm regards to Dave. Wish him on our behalf a very happy and successful life ahead.

We did indeed make it back in one piece, including the whisky! Yeah!
We had a wonderful time on the tour and greatly enjoyed our tour of the
Western Isles.
We were all awake this morning amazingly and ready to go out for another
day of touring!
Having been at work now for about 3 hours, I can tell you that the
touring is WAY more fun!
We will send over some pictures. I believe Michele already posted the
link for the sheep herding video! Not to be missed.
We were singing Hakuna Metata this morning but it would have been more
fun in your bus!
We hope to see you again one day as well!
Meanwhile, we'll send some photos, and [please do stay in touch as well.

My girlfriend and I would like to thank you for the great tour of whisky distilleries we do last monday (07/06/2010). This tour will remain in our mind forever. We remember this day each time we drank a wee dram of Edradour single malt.
Your welcome was very nice and your explanations were very interesting. We should recommend you and your tour to all tourists going to Edinburgh on holiday.

Thank you for a great tour you handled the eleven family members whit humor and kindness we will remember you whit fantastic brilliant beautiful and some uglyness aswell. I spent a month in Scotland, and traveled through a lot of the countryside. The tour guide was brilliant, he took pride and joy in and was very enthusiastic about what he was talking about. The guide was very friendly towards all members of the party. He knew the geography and history of his land. The logistic side of things was taken care of so I could enjoy the most of my vacation.
