SCOTTISH ROUTES

Scottish Routes division of The Ultimate Highland Experience Ltd accepts your (the customer/client) booking under the following terms and conditions:

Private and Tailor-Made tours

In order to confirm a booking, a non-refundable deposit of 25% must be paid.

The full balance must be received at least 45 days before the departure date. Should the departure date be within 45 days of booking, full payment must be made at the time of confirmation.

In the event of a cancellation, by the client, following payment of the deposit, the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Where the balance owing on a tour is not paid prior to the 45-day deadline then we reserve the right to cancel the tour and retain the deposit.

Notification of cancellation must be made in writing to the company by post or e-mail (please see www.scottishroutes.com for full contact details). Should notification of cancellation be received 45+ days before departure, no further payment is required. Should the final balance have already been paid, the following schedule of refunds will apply:

  • A full refund, minus deposit paid

Where notification of cancellation has been received less than 45 days prior to commencement of a tour, and final balance paid, the following schedule of refunds will apply:

  • 44-30 days before start – 75% of the balance
  • 29-14 days before start – 50% of the balance
  • 13-0 days before start – NIL

Scottish Routes reserves the right to cancel trips under exceptional circumstances. In such cases clients will be promptly informed and offered:

  • Transfer to a substitute trip or tour or
  • An alternative trip or tour which if a lower cash value will include a cash adjustment refund or
  • A total refund of all prepaid monies.

All guests are advised to take out comprehensive travel insurance for the duration of their tour, as this is not provided by Scottish Routes.

Scheduled Tours

In order to confirm a booking, full payment must be made at the time of booking.

In the event of a cancellation, by the client, following payment, the following schedule of refunds will apply:

  • 60+ days before start – 80% of the balance
  • 59 – 30 days before start – 65% of the balance
  • 29 – 14 days before start – 50% of the balance
  • 13 – 0 days before start – NIL

Notification of cancellation must be made in writing to the company by e-mail (please see www.scottishroutes.com for full contact details).

Scottish Routes reserves the right to cancel trips under exceptional circumstances. In such cases clients will be promptly informed and offered:

All attractions/transport and experiences not operated by Scottish Routes will be subject to the normal conditions of the individual operator.

Force Majeure

Scottish Routes does not accept any liability for any loss, inconvenience or damage caused by war, threat of war riot or civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural disaster, fires, sickness, weather conditions, airport regulations, temporary, technical, mechanical or electrical breakdown of transport or any facilities contained within advertised accommodation, explosion of any nuclear plant or part thereof or radioactivity/contamination arising from such plant or events beyond the reasonable control of Scottish Routes.

Minimum Ages

Anyone under the age of 18 is not permitted on any scheduled departure tours.

All the above terms shall be construed and interpreted in accordance with the Law of Scotland and all parties submit to the jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.

Privacy Policy

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
